Micro-Tunneling
Applications
Non-disruptive road crossings, sewage networks, drainage pipelines, utility corridors under highways or railways
Method
Pipe jacking using AVN microtunneling boring machines (MTBMs), slurry-supported excavation, and laser-guided steering for precise alignment

Technical Scope
Micro-tunneling is a trenchless excavation method used to install underground pipelines with minimal surface disruption. IFG uses pressurized systems and remote-controlled boring machines to safely navigate below roads, rivers, and dense urban infrastructure.
Equipment Used
- AVN Microtunneling Boring Machines (Herrenknecht / ISEKI)
- Slurry separation and management systems
- Laser guidance and control systems
- Intermediate jacking stations
- Lubrication and slurry pipelines
- Launch and reception shaft systems
Client Challenges Solved
- Executing road crossings without surface excavation
- Minimizing disruption in live traffic or populated areas
- Installing pipelines under sensitive or congested infrastructure
- Achieving long-distance drives with millimeter accuracy
